MY STORY

I am a nineteen year old GBR skier based in South Yorkshire. I started skiing at just three years old and entered my first competition at just four. From there on out I knew that skiing was all I wanted to do and it has been my passion ever since.

Training at my local SnoZone each Sunday morning and Monday evening I then started to enter small local races before progressing to indoor competitions up and down the United Kingdom. Of course, that was never going to be enough so I started to enter some 'taster races' abroad, mainly in France to start with.

It became clear very quickly that training indoors to race outdoors simply didn't equip me well enough to compete with those training outdoors all winter season. Following much negotiation with my parents I started to do a few more weeks training in the mountains to see what impact this may have on my competitions in the mountains. Sure enough at the age of 12 I achieved my first outdoor podium.

Each season I started to do more a more training outdoors, however soon realised that it was not only the training on the mountain that was critical to get me to where i wanted to be but also my dry land training and physical fitness. Straight after my first year at U14 racing we sought the input of a personal trainer to also compliment my mountain training. I am proud to say I haven't looked back since that point.

At U14 I got my first race representing GBR in Andorra and have subsquently represented GB in Andorra on another two occasions along with races in Abetone and Folgaria.

Throughout my U14 and U16 years I achieved many titles at the English and British Championships across all disciplines, proving to myself that hard work and dedication over many years truly does pay off. 

I moved into FIS racing in 19/20, a whole new and difficult chapter. It has taken a lot of grit and determination to make the GBR FIS Squad, having done so now following the 21/22 season the objective remains the same, don't stop until I reach my goal.
